WCDMA Direct Conversion Receiver Front End

چکیده
This paper presents a 2.14GHz RF front end for Wide-band Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) receiver. The receiver is based on direct conversion architecture and implements a low noise amplifier (LNA) and a quadrature mixer in 0.25μm CMOS process. The receiver achieves a noise figure (NF) of 8.93dB, provides a gain of 17.14dB, has an IIP3 of -15.04dB and dissipate 72.15mW at 2.5V.

A dual-band RF front-end for WCDMA and GPS applications
An RF front-end for dual-band dual-mode operation is presented. The front-end consumes 22.5 mW from a 1.8-V supply and is designed to be used in a direct-conversion WCDMA and GSM receiver. The front-end has been fabricated in a 0.35m BiCMOS process and, in both modes, can use the same devices in the signal path except the LNA input transistors. The front-end has a 27-dB gain control range, whic...
متن کاملWCDMA Direct Conversion Front End in 0.13um digital CMOS
This project presents a direct-conversion 3G front end in 0.13um digital CMOS for use with the 2.1 GHz WCDMA frequency band. These receivers, widely used in 3G mobile telephony, require low power consumption and cost effective integration with other systems while maintaining high linearity and sensitivity. This project includes the design of a differential LNA, a double-balanced mixer and an on...
متن کاملA Digital-Front-End Enhanced Multi-Mode/Multi-Standard Wireless Receiver
This paper presents a multi-mode receiver concept for different transmission standards like UMTS and IS95. Due to the use of a Digital-Front-End (DFE) the requirements for the analog part of the well known direct conversion receiver (DCR) architecture decrease because channelization and fine frequency tuning are shifted from the analog into the digital domain. The adaptation of the channelizati...
متن کاملCMOS LNA and Mixer Components for 2GHz applications in 0.18-μm CMOS
This paper describes a low noise variable gain amplifier (LNA) and a mixer for a WCDMA frontend receiver based on a direct architecture in 0.18-μm CMOS. The LNA provides a 50Ω input impedance and utilizes a tuned load to provide high selectivity. The LNA achieves a maximum small signal gain of 16.8 dB and a minimum gain of 4.6 dB with good input return loss. In the high gain and the low gain mo...
